Support the pride

A pride costs a lot: €9000 this year. The quotes from several services we rely on have increased, which inevitably inflates our budget.

We have therefore set up a fund for those who would like to help us finance it!

Slogan

The slogan for this year is "HIV: no savings on our lives".

In France, the HIV epidemic is taking root: the Lecornu budget reduces funding for associations and programs fighting HIV, sabotaging prevention and field workers.

HIV advocacy groups are forced into massive layoff plans due to cuts in funding. This means fewer outreach efforts, less prevention, fewer screenings, and it is our communities that suffer.

Austerity only fosters the conditions that create new infections, and we are seeing a 40% increase in diagnoses among 15-24 year olds.

In France, 200,000 people live with HIV. 24,000 are still unaware.

Internationally as well, the state abandons us: the government refuses to commit France to providing stable contributions to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS. The USA, for their part, suspend USAIDS, allowing more than 6 million people to die in the next 4 years.

It is possible to eradicate HIV by 2030. But for that, governments must commit and fund this fight. And global funding remains 30% below the minimum necessary.

Our lives should not be numbers in a budget, the death of our siblings an additional economy in a system of austerity.

We deserve better, we demand better.
Each of our dead must revolt us.

Accessibility

FFP2 masks will be available for free all day at the Fiertés Colorées booths. Wearing them is highly, highly encouraged!

The speeches will be fully interpreted in French sign language (LSF) by the Liesse SCOP. The interpreter will be in front of the truck.

As in previous years, the small tourist train in Rouen will be part of the march, to transport people with reduced mobility and allow them to enjoy the pride march.

Please contact us if you plan to bring equipment over 20kg, so we can inform the driver.

A calm procession will be located at the end of the parade, away from the sound systems and the batucada. In case of any issues or if the calm is not respected, you can notify a volunteer so that we can intervene.

This year again, the Red Cross will follow the march with a rescue vehicle to assist anyone who is injured or facing difficulties. They will also be present at the village.

The volunteers from the backpack team can distribute earplugs, water, sugar, and cookies. If you need anything, feel free to ask them.

The pride village remains open during the march: it is therefore not necessary to march to enjoy the day!
